Seriously, big deal, it's killing it's prey in an easy manor, good on it.
Just for the 'omg poor bird' people...
Yesterday I was driving along, a pigeon flew out into my path I made no move to slow down, hit it, there was a cloud of feathers and when I looked in the rear view it was flapping about on the road with who knows how many broken bones and still was alive. I drove on, didn't slow down a bit.
Oh and for the record I was driving a diesel vehicle that is rubbish on fuel and pollutes the environment no end with rust and fumes.

Nah. I was driving an old Land Rover, it must have hit the 'bumper' which is basically an iron girder.

So that's what that racket is.
Heard that ghastly noise one night for about quarter of an hour.
Really nasty noise to hear when you're there in the dark.
I did actually look outside to see what it was, didn't see anything but then again I didn't make much effort to leave the doorway.
However I have learned from this video.
I shall now go forth and install more ponds in the garden.

The noise you are probably hearing is a fox
edit: and to add to the above hit and runs ive never hit any birds or wildlife yet, although i did run over something that was already dead and felt bad because of it .... I fail

+1 , whilst i didnt watch this video some of the vids iv seen of people being beheaded etc are enough to really test your metal.
its not nice or pretty but then many aspects of life arent.
i really think schools should introduce these videos more, we live in such a sanitised world that most people arent aware of the horrid stuff that happens bc of natural events or anger or just accidents.
example: porsche nikki (google) should be required reading and at least a question when doing your driving theory test...this would stop or at least make people double think about speeding and the damage it can do!

I ran over a rat the other week. Felt sorry for the poor bugger as I clearly felt the car go over it
I saw a huge one dead in the road! so reversed over it just to make sure
i hate RATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think they're incredibly interesting looking birds, massive scavengers I know, but very pretty
