Smart thermostat help

Spread the cost of a nest over 5-10 years and its pennies.

Why buy the inferior product? Get the doorbell too.
Why buy the inferior product, then suggests burying the inferior product.

Go with Hive of that's what you have looked at, set it up for dual zone now, then down the line add individual smart TRVs so you have full control.

Nest straight away you would need to buy 2 to do dual zone. Then it can't be upgraded any more.

You can buy independent third party TRV's that worth with NEST.

However they are nowhere near worth it unless you live in a mansion.

Example - Spending £80 a month on gas. Cost of 10 TRV's = £600. Saving per month = £5. 10 years pay back time. By then you will need another 10 TRV's most likely.

That is optional if you want to use things like auto-geofencing.

We have the V3+ and still get push notifications about open windows or if we want to turn the heating off as everyone has left the house.

I'm happy to click the notifications when needed rather than pay the sub.

I don't understand? I've got geofencing and open window shutoff but I never bought the latest version of the app... what am I missing?

My understanding is that V2 (maybe V3?) had those settings work automatically if toggled, so if all users were seen to leave the house, heating would be turned off without any user input. Plus you could set it to trigger heating in advance of getting home (when user is x miles away from home fire up the heatin). Same with open window.

In my version, to have those automated I would have to pay the fee, and without the fee I just get push notifications from the app which I can use if I want to.

Does Tado support IFTTT, if so you can do that for free with Life360.

We had nest for a while then upgraded to Evohome.

In a modern/normal house nest is great and it does look better however the functionality was nowhere near that of Evohome. Our property is old, leaks heat and has several rooms that get a lot of sun, when it's out, and have multiple rads so individual room control is a massive increase in comfort for us with the Evohome.

I thought I'd post here rather than start another thread.

Can someone please advise on a smart system that works with two heating zones with separate thermostats?

Our new house has three floors, the thermostat downstairs does every room expect for the master bedroom and ensuite which has it's own thermostat.

Here are photos of the system:

Danfoss thermostats both look like this:

Downstairs is a Danfoss TPOne - M with this wiring:

Master Bedroom is a TPOne - B with batteries in but also this wiring:

Then in the airing cupboard there is a Kingspan Tribune XE hot water cylinder:

Ideally we'd like to replace both thermostats for smart ones which work with Apple Homekit, any advice on what will work with our system would be appreciated!
Thank you!

Did you read all of the answers in this thread? A lot of it has already been answered.

Yes but I just wanted to make sure that if for example I go ahead and buy two Tado thermostats will they wire directly into what I have?
Do I need the extra hot water unit, only our downstairs stat controls the hot water currently.
