I work in an office, so I sit and sometimes walk in them :p It's always the stitching on the bottom of the leg that disintegrates.

Primark £12 Slim Fit Black Trousers. Lasted me 6 months so far and still going strong. Especially considering I where them to the quarry or jump into machines often.
 
I was given two pairs of these when I worked in hospitality and 7 years later with the exception that they have faded a little bit they are still perfect. I am amazed as every other pair of trousers and shorts I have owned have always come apart. Usually the threads in the inner legs thins out from walking. But I've been using these for office and leisure and like new.

1 caveat is to buy a waist size 1 up from what you normally fit in other styles as they are a regular fit rather than loose. I am a 38 waist normally but I find 40 in these more comfortable.

Next. More specifically their signature range, which are wool. The cheaper normal range are just a bit horrible and don't last very long. The signature ones are about £35 each and still look good after a year or more of use.

It's also the only place Ive found that don't cut their trousers really baggily, they actually fit nicely, rather than being old man style.

No they don't. They like trying to squeeze my thighs in to a pair of drain pipes. Not every bloke is a malnourished metrosexual whose legs can barely lift their own overly styled bonce!

You mean you're one of the very few people that actually has thighs of muscle rather than fat?

Unfortunately most trousers are designed for 40 year old overweight businessmen. My legs on the other hand are big enough to take me to the top of mountains, then down again on multiple modes of self propelled transport. Better to be slim than a meathead (or heavily overweight)... ;)

By the looks of your comment I can only assume your weight training is trying to compensate for something. Do you like watching other men strain? :p

After playing Rugby for years I too find it hard to find trousers that'll fit my big thighs. I can get them to fit my waist size but this recent trend of twiglet thighed men means that now I have either buy massive waisted trousers for fat blokes or have some tailor made which obviously costs a lot more.
 
How about Gap khakis? A range of colours, fits (straight, baggy, slim, etc) and they have a sale every other week.
 
Charles Tyrwhitt. Good quality, good cut with in-house tailoring that can do all manner of alterations for a pretty reasonable price.
