Currently i am in the middle of embarking on a project of 'smartgrading' pc. Basically taking it from a watercooled beast with lots of fans, rad, hard drives, heavily overclocked. To a more modest, silent, yet still powerful pc.
Looking at my HDD's i currently have a 60gb ssd boot drive, 512 vertex 4 ssd games drive, and a 2tb caviar green storage drive.
My games ssd is overkill and i can put it too much better use in a laptop or selling it. Would i be okay putting my games on my Caviar green 5400rpm, or would they load ultra slow and end up being the last one to enter multiplayer games etc? Space is not an issue. Just dont really want to get another HD like a 7200rpm as i like the WD as its so quiet?
Thoughts? Anyone run games of a 5400rpm?
