I would imagine it's on purpose where iPhones have addition/different ways to disable tethering? I'm with Smarty and just fired up a hotspot on my Pixel 4 and my Mac connected just fine and I could load webpages.

Yup I just confirmed it works on my phone to my laptop too as I haven't used hotspot for a while and wanted to make sure nothing has changed, so its definitely fine on Android despite not having the best indoor signal

Anyone having issues where the internet just stops working for a few hours?
i do yes, but it wasnt any different on any of the other providers ive been with which im happy about. i pay 10 a month now. signal is ok, not great but for 10 a month im not complaining at all.

Must be an iPhone restriction as my sim is in a 4g router.

That's good to know, I might test that too as I could get an unlimited sim for when on hols as I have a couple of MiFi devices and they are more convenience rather than using my phone missus hates when I go off with the internet :D

Don't know anyone who uses an iPhone surprisingly so can't look into it but everything on Smarty and three suggests it should be no problem.
