Smashing my MX1000 - best way?

How do you find the MX Revolution? I can pick one up for £55 before 8pm today and if you think it's a good step up from MX1000 I will do just that and sell the MX1000 as brand new unopened on the bay :D

I need to know within a few mins before I can get to pompey in time LOL

hmm difficult to say.

Its definately better than the MX1000 was.

Smoother "glide" and better weighted. And i really cant do without my flywheel scroll wheel! Going back is sooo difficult now im used to it!

Whether I would have bought it for the £60 or so it was comapred to the £35 my MX1000 was.. i couldnt say :)

Well I decided to go for it :D

I must say I love the fact you don't have to plug a cord from the base to the PC like on the MX1000 - this way I can discreetly tuck away the charger if need be etc and less wires :D

It's also a heck of a lot lighter than mx1000 and nicer to hold.

Will write up a short review in the hardware section when I get home as I have to go out again :p

Looks sexier too in the flesh :p

Also did you think the packaging rocked? it reminded me of the LG Chocolate phone packing - all black and nicely laid out!

Yeah it was a very nice package overall.

But its standout feature is that scroll wheel. I just love it :)

Only thing ive found is that its battery lasts about 2 days less than the MX1000's did, but then again it also charges up in under an hour from totally flat so ces la vi.

Ah that is good to know, I can leave it on charge every day for 15~ mins and never worry about battery power :D

I can see the freewheel feature being used extensively in Google Earth/Sky :D

I'm already loving the freewheel - it's especially useful in the post your random images thread in GB, effortless gliiiiiiiiiiiiiiide!

Coupled with uBer Options I have set the "search" button to switch between freewheel and ratchet then set the middle mouse as "middle mouse" and configured the other buttons to cater to my gaming needs :D

13 - default - flip through documents.

Ah mine is a fair bit different to that :D

On your battery section what time does it say for days left ? mine shows 13 days left at 90% - I only charged it for about an hour but have been playing with it for an hour also :p

Are you using USB or PS/2 (via adapter) ? when using PS/2 on my logitech KB no battery days left is shown but it does say battery is "Good" and has done for months :p (battery lasts for over a year on the kb lol) and mouse so far seems excellent!

It will probaiblly go back to normal when I turn the PC off.

Did you need to give them an invioce number or anything to do the RMA with Logitech?

Na they just ask for the serial numbers :D

BTW I just "freewheeled" right to the end of this thread. Cutting the middleman in half = WIN!

IS free wheel when you push down the middle button and just drag the moue down a bit and it moves down the page? Because my mouse is 3 years old and a cheapo and does that lol.

Saves a lot of time dont really have to move the mouse at all to scroll threads. Gee you people get with the times! your 3 years behind!

Say you go into freewheel mode on firefox then go to winamp where you don't want to freewheel your playlist - does your mouse automagically go to ratchet mode then when you return to firefox return to freewheel mode?

Mine does :p Get updated with the times!! damn oldies! :D

Don't think so, my dad has the mx revolution.

You just give the scroll wheel a flick and it gets to the end of thread really.

Not for me though, not good for css lol.

Mine will stay in free wheel mode on what ever i put it on unless i unclick... and if i dont want it to go back on i just click the middle button again ... geeeze that took a lot of effort.

Get with the times mate mine does exacly the same as you hah!
