no that is the expected temp, yeah get the latest ones from the nivida site
just pick which ever one you are 32 or 64 and install, it will only install what it needs
worth running msupdate after too, then try rerunning your win7 test
yeah cpuz is a good proggie, i would imagine its a bios setting if doing the drivers did not change something

well try that stepping stuff, u also need to look at your drive settings. i had this because mine were incorrect.

happens to us all... i will be back home later and will show my settings. So i presume both your drives are SATA?
OK mate well i will have a look at my bios settings tonight and find out what i did to get the correct performance
i have the latest bios, but yours is only one before and does not seem to have anything that could be causing the issue

Right... i remember what i did however, don't change it just yet as you need to either apply a patch/driver first or reinstall... so just check first

i would imagine your one says [IDE] but really you want [AHCI]
i think this is what i changed and that gave me a new boast on the windows score.

ok let me check my memory settings, do you happen to have a spare hard drive to hand? one you could do a install on? as after i realised that my wrong setting i did a reinstall.

one other last thing to try which i changed is this...
ENTER BIOS
Frequency / Voltage control > DRAM Config
> select manual
>change memory clock value to DDR 800
>change back to auto
you should notice the 800 stays in the settings, save and exit.
that is the correct speed for you memory. That may well do it. Falling that, try a reinstall on another drive with your now correct bios settings and you should get scores similar to mine

well it did for me, i changed the ACHI and had the blue screen of death so reinstalled and had the better performance. I can't say for sure, its up to you my man
Hey Tom, strange one, i added my card and it reset the bios , i configured it and loaded into windows ran the test and i got 5.9 on the memory!
changed everything and reran the test and still 5.9, went back in and disabled the onboard graphics which uses some of the memory and it went back to 7.4!!

we might be getting somewhere! i disabled mine in the bios, and it sorted it, the 8200 will be using the memory and that my friend is the issue!

EDIT: I notice that you actaully have 7.5 for ram and im getting 7.4 for the same ram. Is that to do with you having an ssd or a quad core do you think?

glad we got there, sorry i lead you round the houses, i made all my bios changes at once then reinstalled so was never quite 100% sure what caused it, lucky in away that me installing my new graphics card meant i needed to reset my bios!
i would have thought the extra notch is due to the quad or the SSD, they will vary slightly depending on all sorts,
