Snowstorms set to blanket Britiain

ok its to be bad for north eastern scotland, shame it says on the website sunny all week lol.

I want rwd action :p

I'll believe it when I see it. Before Christmas they said it was going to be the coldest winter in decades. So far it has been very mild.

I'm located right around the "k" in Grand Forks.....

We'll see if the radar is lying in the morning (11:45 PM right now).

If not, may have another impromptu vacation from work if the wind picks up again.....

Oh, and as for temps......

Yes, those are in metric. Weatherbug is the only one that can do metric. The Weather Channel one doesn't have that option.....

I wish we had a weather system for the public as interesting and in depth as the U.S.A, granted the U.K is not that big, but having simply a cloud covering the whole of Greater Manchester if not the entire North West is somewhat patronising.

I want real time radar images, real time barometric readings, temperature readings not ever 6 hours but every 15 minutes :( grrr

What info do we get in our 45 second weather slot, or however long it is, 1 of 6 symbols, rain, cloud, rain and cloud, sun??? 2 temperatures over the course of 12 hours, and wind speed and direction, and not even the speed sometimes!

I wish they would bring back the weather channel, used to love watching that eating my breakfast before school. Anyway just a small rant for half 6 monday am :)

Oh yes!!! thankyou met office for the absolutely in depth, real time, extended data weather maps!!!

Its got to the point in this country that they may aswell not bother with the weather as its just the same every day, just 'grey'. Dont think i have seen the sun atall since last september. Its like living under a giant grey toupe

I've been hearing that we're about to get ravaged by some insane snow for a few days now. Do I believe it? No!

We'll probably get a lighty dusting of melty goodness but that is all, it's hardly snowed at all this year here, if at all!
If it is gonna HAVE to snow, I'd just like it do be done properly where I can't go outside for fear of being lost and the main roads are shut down. That's always a good laugh, for a few days...

Same here, i have a funny feeling though that this will probably be more suited for the northern parts of uk. Cant see London under a blanket of snow...imagine the chaos on the roads:eek:, public transport system...hell just about everything and anything in London will be in a state of chaos with a mm of snow lol :p

OVERALL RISK ASSESSMENT: The probability of disruption due to severe weather conditions in part of the United Kingdom within the next 84 hours is 90 percent.

That says the probablity of disruption, not the probabilty of snow. A golfball could disrupt this country. :p
