Snowstorms set to blanket Britiain

Was snowing really heavily here in Bristol earlier, but then the sun came out all of a sudden and melted it all

How can they call weather like this a "big freeze" that would imply temperatures going below freezing would it not? They have done this a few times this winter, it really annoys me, not that its cold but that forecasters seem to think 2 degrees is cold!! Ok when it gets to say -5 during the day then its cold but til then its just chilly. To be honest people in this country moan way to much about supposed bad weather.
Until they come up with a "post appocoliptic deadly extreme" weather warning it will mean temps are a couple of degrees below normal and there may be a non settling flurry of snow.
I just wanna go back to the mountains and ski . At least there when the weather forecast says cold and some snow they mean -20 and 30cm of the white stuff. Traffic doesn't pile up either, even with roads not gritted and snow storms.

How cold was it this morning - ill tell you how cold - very VERY VERY! No snow here though - bbc forcasts light snow showers tomorrow though!

2nd time in the last 2 days Ive woken up and its been very bright and dry here, like a nice fresh summers day. Clear blue sky's, no sign of snow here I dont think

I suppose we have had about 8inches so far and the (very) heavy showers keep coming, hoping for a day off tomorrow too tbh
