Guys i have a 3d tv hdmi1.4 and a set of active 3d glasses and a 670 gpu,

When i try and play games in 3d u can only get a low res with good refresh rate,

when you try and play at 1920-1080 it auto puts it to 24hz which if i am wrong is no good for games ?

what i want is to play 1080p 3d games at full res as my machine cna easy handle that

If your TV does not support 120hz @1080p then you will not be able to play at 60hz 3d. It sounds to me like the tv can only handle 3d 24hz@1080p which is the standard for blurays.

what TV do you have?

Over HMDI you can either get 720p @ 60fps (per eye) or 1080p @ 24fps (per eye).

This is a limitation of the current HDMI technology, I believe HDMI can handle the bandwidth but no manufacturers have included the ability to do this in their products.

If you want 1080p @ 60fps (per eye) then you need to be connecting to a 120hz display using Dual Link DVI or DisplayPort.

There isn't a TV in the world that does 120hz @ 1080p over HDMI for gaming, due to the limitations I explained in my last post.

With your TV there isn't anything you can do to play 3D games at 1080p at a refresh rate higher than 24fps.

Your only option is to play at 720p in 3D or get a 120hz screen with a Dual Link DVI connection.

well that's a shame really, but i guess i will have to stick to 720p for now.
any one know if the full 1080p 3d thing is on it way out to us or?

It is strange, but technology keeps up with demand and HDMI is generally used for consoles and movies, neither of which have the capability for high FPS. PCs which have high FPS capabilities have other cables. :)
