So, did I or didnt I?

Thanks.

Driving isnt as hard as learning to drive to test standard!

Couldnt be more right. Its dangerous in my opinion the way they teach you. Because, the way you drive and learn is nothing like the way others drive on the road. Meaning your learning like 1 of a kind whilst everyone else does it that way.

Exactly!!!!

I couldnt read the licence plate though! 3rd attempt.

He asked either of two cars so tried one, knew it was wrong so instantly went onto the other and he then said "do you want to try again" LOL :D

Need them testing i think.

I actually read the car behind the one she asked me to read as i thought the one in front was to close lol. She couldn't even read that one to tell me if i was right.

Congrats on the pass.

Cheers.

Got my quote down to 1600.. Gonna try get it a lil lower though ;)

Quote:£1589.70

=

1x £263.46
9x £172.28
Total £1813.98

going to be a while before insurance allow that.... lol.:(

take it easy, dont go understeering off into a ditch showing off to your mates. no wait, that was me. :o (few months after passing)

Or reversing into a wall trying to impress a girl with how quickly you can turn the car around :(

Overlag - doesn't bode well that we both did stupid things and both have STs! :o

What stuffed me up in the first week of driving was how turning offside to offside was highlighted as the preferred method in lessons. In reality I quickly learned that no one does this, unless it's marked out to do so on the road (or blindingly obvious) :( Made a right tit of myself at a crossroads on the second day. :D

Do the Pass Plus and make sure you get on to some of the big interchanges/roundabouts to give you some confidence with lane discipline around them - that had to be one of the hardest things to get right for me - it doesn't help that sometimes, no one else knows what they are doing either!

na this was in my old 1.25lx. had 2 years (well 22 months) in that before getting the ST. :)

Congrats mate!

My quote was something like that, done my pass plus and was just over £1000. Defiantly worth doing and if you have the cash your advanced driving course.

congrats on passing, can i ask how many lessons you had? i am learning at the moment and i have had about 17 hours

I had probably over 50 hours ishhh, I moved from Devon to Bradford so had to change instructor and when i was down south i had to do 2 hour lessons because of where i lived..

I did about 20 hours or so with my new instructor, bit of advice though, dont rush it, do as many as poss untill you know youll pass, but think to yourself and ask your instructor because the test is very very hard, i know people will have said this and me personally, im one of the most arogant and confident person youll ever meet and i thought it would be sooo easy, but it wasnt, I never get nervous but i did for this.. They mark you down for absolutely everything..

I got 10 minors too..

Good luck though.

And thanks to everyone who congratulated me! Appreciated, bought my mates car from him too!

Really? Pass plus makes next to zero difference for me. I've contemplated whether it is worth doing, but I've done everything that it covers apart from driving on a motorway.... I know the experience would be worth it but it will cost a fair bit.

Will have done about 36 hours of instruction before my test on the 19th next month. Am getting fairly competant now, can do pretty much everything when I'm having a good lesson.

I thought I would end up doing pass plus to practise motorway driving as all my mates seemed to be doing that, in the end I just drove on the motorway the day after passing on the way to school - was no big deal at all.

Congratz on passing btw.
