My cat charlie, some of you may remember him:

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10293492&postcount=963

Hes been suffering ever since we got him, first of all he got cat flu, never really recovered, had a 2 month spurt of been fit and active and crazy and barely sleeping as kittens do, but from oct onwards he never looked like he was getting better as he staretd to diteriate.

We thought it may have been a lung infection or a failing organ, either the heart, liver or lung, yesterday while i was at work my mum said he looked his worst and couldnt walk, couldnt eat, so she got my cousin to rush him to the vets as she cant drive at the moment.

The vet said he was anemic and very very very low on everything, iron, white red blood cells etc..

This morning my mum rung the vets to have a check on him and sadly he passed away.

Nicely enough he did say he died very very peacefully in his sleep curled up in a ball as he used to do in a towel that we made them put in with him all snuggled up and cute.

Poor little thing my mum is gutted and rightly so, it is pretty heart wrenching to be honest no one likes to see this.

He was such a little charactor.

Poor cat.

James.

Aww RIP Charlie, at least you did all you could for him. :(

We did, the vet didnt belive us when we said he was 6 months, he looked abotu 8 weeks apparantly. He was so small, my mum would often spoon feed him as he was unable at times to feed himself and ovcourse my mum worried...

RIP Charlie, it dosnt matter how long you have a pet as soon as you love it it hurts when they go.

I class pets as family members n this one wanted to be human, sat with us all the time, laid out infront of the fire, slept next to us under our duvets, ate our food, always tried to get it off our plates, loved butter on bread, sat with us in the bog

Lovely cat he was :(

:( condolences.

Will you be getting another cat? I have had cats my whole life and when they passed away was always very happy to have another wonderful friend after an appropriate period of time.

In fact I named my 2 current cats after a pair I had when I was 9 years old...lost them to feline leukemia, that was hard for me at such a young age :( ...

my parents got a cat just after i was born, had her for 17 years, she was as old as me, she took a lot of getting over :(

parents have 2 more cats now, dont see them much but still love em to bits :)

even our hamster, who is the most satanic and evil thing on the planet, ill miss, but weve only just got her so luckily we should have her for another couple of years :)

Agreed 100%. I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

Words won't be of much comfort at this time, but at least you know he had a loving home and was cared for and had a good life with you.

RIP Little furry friend... :(
