Looks really good man!

MX-4 is what comes with the block, and its better than AS5, so its not worth it. How did you put the thermal paste on? Pea size, line across the chip etc?

Just took a look at the Spec sheets and the pump is done right.

Im not 100% on this but after a few quick reads The INLET and OUTLET of the cpu block are the other way around and do make a slight difference on temps iirc.

Looks good overall very nice, but maybe a few angled fittings would tidy it up a little.

The INLET is the one that is more to the middle (Left side) on the CPU block.
 
Cheers guys, nice to know that the pump and block are the right way around :p

Will stick with the MX-4 then and yes I used a pea sized blob but there's no harm in re-applying it to see whether it will help things.

I agree that angled connectors are the way to go, will look into that in the future as it does look a bit messy due to the lengths of tubing in there.

New fan cables have arrived so that should tidy up the wires at the bottom nicely. Just need to order the acrylic sheet and sort out a cover to hide the bottom HDD bays and PSU from view and i'll be happy.

a full water cooling loop is overkill for just CPU imo

what CPU cooler are you running right now?
my silver arrow is no louder than any other component in my case and gives me 70C-75C @ 4.5ghz on a 3930k, should be much cooler on a 2500k

edit: oops, didn't read down far enough to see you'd wasted your money already, sorry

Yes it's probably overkill but I wanted to max out my 2500 as much as possible and this allows me to. If we worried about things being overkill then we'd never end up seeing some quality bits of kit.

Will get some better pictures soon Cleeecooo, looks better with the rear panel on ;)

I'm not acting on the above quote because it will serve better me leaving it there.

This is a friendly forum where people help eachother and offer constuctive criticism to further eachothers knowledge.

To the op. your system looks great, seems like you have the option to upgrade your cooling solution down the line to include your gpu at some point.

Yeah i'm thinking about putting a couple under the motherboard and then one in front of the radiator at the top.. the idea is there ;)
 
Guys quick question, I've noticed that on my tube res that if I tilt the case onto it's side then liquid escapes from the res. I know it has a rubber seal and that the liquid can enter the threads and that's fine however it does actually leak. I can see it leaking too.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

you need to tighten the alan key type screw thing quite tight if you have one like this?
 
Yep that's tight as a nut. It's not coming from the allen screw hole, it's actually coming up the threads and out through a gap in the seal I presume.

there's deffo something wrong with the seal then. If tightening doesn' work, then maybe use a different stopper?
 
Right well a quick update

I used some silicone sealant on the res and it's stopped the leak and you can't really notice it either which is a bonus however that said i've been playing with ideas and have decided the separate res needs to go so I've ordered a EK Reservoir Combo DCP 4.0

I've also received some 45 and 90 degree angled connectors

The system as it currently sits with the PSU mounted vertically and the pump 'resting' on the new foam base

Plans are to get a new graphics card, include that in the loop and add another 360 to the bottom of the case with the pump/res set behind it.

Also need to find a place to mount my SSDs too. Was going to remount the upper HDD cage but if I remove the middle shelf for easier tubing then I can't do that.
