So, how many languages can you speak?

English - Native
Can 'get by' in French and Spanish
Learning Turkish

One of the requirements at my place of work is to be able to speak in several languages so using it in an everyday basis does help.

Is English just a very difficuilt language in comparison to others or something?

No but since English is quite is quite a wide spread language you could get by just with "bad English". Maybe they got no need to learn how to write properly? And when it's about your native language too it's easy to become lazy about it as people would most likely understand what you write, good grammar or not. I'm probably slightly better in English than I am in Norwegian :)

Used to work with some Romanian people and they could speak English to each other but not a chance in hell they would understand someone else speaking it. They had their own accent :p

Ikke juks!

Er jo ikke juks da ;)

I'm fluent in Yorkshire and Jackspeak*

*One for the RN/RM guys. Although I've been out for over 10 years you never forget :)

Just remember the franger if you let the ferret out for a run, especially on the looney juice or in Mombers. ;)

English and basic French (ie. I can watch a French film or read a French newspaper with some degree of understanding. Conversation skills are minimal though.)

English and Welsh, then just enough German and French to survive, enough Greek, Italian and Spanish to be polite.

You can't be native in two different languages you idiot :P

Welsh and English you can, they are both official native languages of the UK. You can be bilingual in both native tongues or multilingual in fact if there are more than two, he's not such an idiot afterall!
