Taking the biscuit now.
Ordered I5 27" Imac 2nd week of December, was given a date of just after Xmas for delivery due to stock issues + weather. Fine.

2 days before delivery, it got put back to 4th of Jan, due to stock issues.

Then on the DAY of delivery, i got an email saying its put back to the 12th of Jan because of stock.

And now i get another saying its due in the 2nd week of Feb..

Nice one apple. Maybe ill cancel and stick to Windows after all, at least i could get a top of the range windows machine for my cash, you know, within a month of placing an order.

Delivery times by Apple are pretty much in wildly inaccurate, the order arrives when it arrives, very China / Sweden / Ireland and god knows where else! :/

Been patient my Liverpool friend, much like with your club! ;)

Siiigh :( Just ranting. Ill try to be patient but, when your spending over £1k on a single item, even a truthful "look, chances are you wont get it for 2 months!" from the get-go would be appreciated.

Already asked, they said "Custom build Imac's have to be delivered from the factory, so the time will be exactly the same as your online order"

or something to that effect.

Ah, fair enough it's the dual core i5 rather than the quad, the retail is the more expensive quad core version. Although the retail 27"imac for £75 more you get a quad core and a better gfx chipset? :D

Yeah im really tempted now considering i can walk into the store like tomorrow and pick it up.

Dont really have the cash though :( but i could probably get it if i really had to, have about ~£60 in old PC components i've been meaning to sell on.

Ah man, I feel for you deeply, I ordered my stuff (Custom Mac mini, Keyboard and vga adapter) on the 31st and it's not arrived yet, due today (Monday 10th), probably wont even come today lol.

I 'HATE' waiting. v_v.

Join the club, ordered on the 30th of dec, still 'under review', god knows when they'll even get around to posting it out.

Why do Apple make me feel like I'm groveling to them when I pay my money to buy their products?

I could have ordered with anyone else and I'd be using my new computer by now.
Really sluggish process apple have.

I ordered my MBP on 26th Dec. First one arrived just before New Year, but that got sent back as it it didnt work properly.
Replacement got delivered 3 days later, that got sent back as it was covered in dents and scratches.

I'm still waiting for my third MBP :(

Wow man, I couldn't deal with that myself, I'd go mad.
I'd just keep it with a slight scratch.

I thought apples service was really high quality, wow.

I ordered my MBP on 24th December about 3am. Advised delivery would be approx 5th January.

Then got e-mail to say it had been shipped on 27th Dec, delivery date was still 5th Jan. I kept checking the order status, luckily, as without any further notice it changed to 30th Jan.

Very happy with their service, so was a new year with a new toy....shame the delight has not lasted tho. Day 1 it crashed 3 times on me. Day 2 was only 2 crashes and just so far I have not seen anything to make me say oh yes I am glad I spent the extra money on a MBP instead of getting the same spec Windows laptop for much cheaper. Will stick at it tho must give it a fair chance.

Pretty much everything we've ordered from Apple (looking at ~£75,000) has arrived late. Shipping dates missed, delivery dates missed. Oh well.

What was it doing when it crashed? What software have you installed?

It shouldn't crash. Ever. Ergo, something is wrong either with it or what you have installed ;)

At that time nothing installed other than Mac OS X and iLife 11..that all came pre installed. It has got better experience so far, apart from iTunes. All my music is on a Synology server and adding the music onto iTunes takes soooo long it is just unbearable to run it off the mounted network drives (something my 4 year old PC and 3 year old Dell laptop managed without any problems using wifi) via a wired network.

Have purchased a 500gb HDD to allow me to put my music on the laptop itself, not a major issue but still enough to niggle at me.
