So i did it... I have an ST-3.

Normally I'd agree, but seeing as they are almost identical, and 50% of the changes are functional changes that make things worse, then I think you're wrong.

Exactly - you think, it's not gospel, it's not fact.

I don't know how you are not getting this, it's one of those agree to disagree moments because it's all down to opinion

On the second one, bar the ST embossing in the steering wheel that is otherwise identical to the standard one, and the three discrete gauges, how is that any less "cohesive" than the standard Focus, considering its identical?

I could see how the carbon is subjective, as I think the pre-facelifts wrapped with di-noc looks OK.

I can't see how anyone would think those buttons being silver with a black/carbon surround looks better? But then, you did buy an Astra :D

yeah I have a pre-facelift and I hate the buttons in the facelift they look so tacky in silver, plus the carbon looks pants, apart from different dials and crappier buttons and rubbish cup holders there is no difference, I guess when you have a plastic fantastic vauxhall the ford looks great

I think it's the 3 gauges actually. They draw my eye up to them.

I can't see how they could have been done any better - I think the design is brilliant - at least they've bothered including them and actually integrating them into the interior.

The only thing that annoys me about them is how you can see its a part just popped into a cubby on the top of the dashboard. If it was all one peice of the dash it would be a lot better. But hey.. mass production and all that...

Why would I want to access it?

(genuine question)

Further to that, why does the surround of the 'guage unit' which is flat on the dash be all plastic and not like the rest of the dash. :(
