So I hate the controllers, will still get multi-platform titles for the 360, and there are just a handfull of exclusives that interest me but meh, I had the spare cash so I thought sod it and bought one.

I have now completed my current-gen console line up and bought a PS3.

Just thought I'd share that with you, you can TFTI me now if you so wish ;)
 
Welcome to the dark-side Drex :) What games have you got, or planning to get? Can i reccommend pre-ordering a little known game called Killzone 2? :D.

Don't have any games yet, will be downloading a bunch of demos when it arrives and will definately be getting KZ2. Other games I'll be picking up are Wipeout HD, LBP, and MGS4. Drake's fortune looks interesting too.
 
Oh and if you're into JRPGs get valkyria chronicles, it's very unique and possibly the best game i've played on the PS3.

You'd be a mentalist to miss out on Drakes Fortune!

Sadly nearly all etailers lie on their release date status. I remember when a competitor said a Final Fantasy XII was coming out the next day so a few people got excited that it would be a 'surprise release' and stuck in preorders. Over a year later the game finally came out.

Only source that is generally reliable imo is Wikipedia which actually says someone from Sony said it 'could' be out by Christmas 2009 which is promising. Knowing Sony that means Summer 2010.

Man i really gotta get round to playing my copy of Valkria! Far too much trophy whoring atm :o Out of interest Streets, how long did it take you to complete it?

Drex, i reccommend you have a nose at Ferrari Challenge mate, top draw racing game for the PS3.

About 30 hours iirc though i did all of the bonus chapters (which are well worth doing as they bulk out the characters background and in some cases add some very useful abilities) and mucked around on a few of the skirmishes. It lets you carry your characters forward when you replay it and i hadn't maxxed em out by the time i finished so there's some replay value for the completionists.

Make sure you set the voice overs to Japanese with subtitles though, the English dubbing actually isn't that bad compared to other games i've played but still isn't great.

You won't regret it, if you can afford it you might as well. Still think the 360 is the one to get first but the PS3 still has plenty to offer but still needs to get a few more better exclusive titles imo.
