Did they have engines made in the 60s?
They dont
they are just basic 1.0L, no injection, no turbo.

I'd say that a 1.8T powered Leon/Golf/Octavia/A3 would probably be the best bet then.
He wants a little bit of turbo hoof, but nothing too dramatic. 1.8T's are reliable and relatively frugal, and best of all, no diesel dagdag.
Damn, I'm off to the east side of Brighton to get my gaydar fixed in that case.
