So, it's been 6 months since the PSP Go...

I would hold off until the price drops more.
It wouldn't surprise me to see some new versions being shown within the next 6 - 12 months while the DS2 becomes more known.

I don't own a PSP Go nor have I actually seen one in person however I own a PSP 3000 and see no reason to change to a Go.

Plus I actually like owning physical copies of games rather than digital :)

As much as I appreciate the advice, I haven't ever, and won't be modding any PSP I own, sorry.

Interesting thing about Crisis Core though - probably my favourite PSP game and I won't be able to play it on the Go?

That's a pretty serious problem. :(

Dissidia Final Fantasy is the only PSP SquareEnix game I know available to download unless there are others Im not aware of.

Well there's obviously FF7 and FF8 that can be downloaded for the PSP but Crisis Core is almost certainly a deal breaker i'm afraid.

It's not like Sony haven't had time to get it up on the PSN.

I think i'll just go for the PSP-3000 and get a nice 16GB MSPD for downloaded PSone games.

Thanks for the advice all. :)

I got a PSP Go when it was 1st released for £150 new. I never played PSP games on my 3000 as it was too bulky and the UMD's were a pain, only really used it for watching movies when I was on site and stuck in a hotel room.

The PSP Go is brilliant, its a much better form factor than the older PSP's and I use mine all the time instead of my DSi which I used to play a lot.

BTW, I got a few free games when I got my GO as I registered my old PSP, plus I got a random free game too so I havent had to buy any new games so far...

Bought my Go when it was first released. at the time it was £200 or so and that came with 3 free games, including the GT free download, then on top of that a couple of months later another 2 free games, not forgetting the console does already come with 16GB of memory. I'm sure now that you can get a Go for around the same price as a 3000 with a 16GB card. The big deal is whether you mind waiting for games to be released on the PS Store and whether you mind paying extra for those games.

It's a nice little handheld, it's very light, has great battery life, Bluetooth if you're interested and the screen is improved over the 3000. It does have it's appeals but only to a certain audience, just looking at this thread there's a couple of people that say it's worth it and others who unashamedly bash the console. It's not for everyone, but the fact that the OP is even contemplating it shows that it must have some charm at least.

By the way, the fact that the OP asked opinions on a 3000 or a Go and then Margaret suggested a DS is totally laughable.

That's why it was a suggestion, depending on the condition of the PSP fat (including the battery) then it might have proved tempting to opt for a DS upon somebody mentioning it.

No need to get all ratty about it, but then again you did buy a PSP Go so I guess you have some reason behind being ratty. ;) :)

Went for the PSP3000 in the end. Picked a vibrant blue one up today for £90. It looks as good as new really, dead chuffed about it.

Had £48 store credit so cost me £42.
