I dont see the problem in an owners thread for this CPU, nought wrong with being proud of your hardware!
I know how similar the 7700 is to the 6700 and how Intel are milking it (sadly) but we have what we have and the processors are different (maybe slightly), or we'd not need some 170 boards flashed to accept the 7*** series would we?
Kaap is a good guy, a PC hardware enthusiast, all these suggestions of ee peen ETC are just silly, its a bit of light hearted ownership fun is all and it can help sort the wheat from the chaffe, when and if it comes to trouble shooting a particular CPU or indeed batch of those CPU's.
Kaap is an enthusiast and takes time out to help others, he gave helpful tips on my dead I7 5960X that I appreciated and I've seen him take time out to help others too, he deserved the Man of Honour title on these forums IMHO.
As it happens, when my I7 5960 CPU failed I could not be without a main rig, so ordered an overclocked I7 6700 bundle straight away while I sorted out the 5960X warranty, today I've ordered an I7 7700K overclocked bundle, a mere 4.8GHz will do me fine

no need to hit the magic 5GHz for me

I need a second high end PC you see.
But I'd happily sign up to a 7600/7700 owners thread if it existed, don't understand the fuss or whatever is going here?.
