Sweet morphing ability! :)

Depends on your course and your university, but my first year was weighted 0% of my overall degree, I just had to pass it to gain credits to advance, at a 40% average. This meant not doing much work the whole year and getting away with it really.

And like you've noticed it's defiitely very slow to start, but it will get harder, once you've stopped all the revision of easy stuff you should already know.

Just don't moan on deadline day or the night before the exams you forgot to revise for!

i honestly dont think the definition of essay is going to come up in the exam. I know what you mean though i wont be messing around when it gets to the nitty gritty

I haven't learnt anything yet, but considering what I've been doing in my gap year, I should darn well hope I know more than the basics of HTML :)

First year doesn't count for anything - unless you have a placement.....in which case it's useful to do well :)

Not to mention, of course, that if you don't really learn this lot of stuff well then your next years will be harder.....

here is a crazy idea, why not start looking over your books to see what you will be learning and maybe brush up on it a little. That way at least you will have an idea of what the lecturers are on about in their classes! :)

Or go get drunk and find some women :D

Be careful.

On my first free Friday afternoon I learnt that drinking and watching the snooker could be accompanied by smoking cigarettes and it was all down hill from then on.

Funny that i never get on that well with Girls on my course, i get on MUCH MUCH better with girls not on my course.
Interesting - I haven't really met my girlies yet (only seen them once - not been able to corner them yet - they were innundated and escaping, probably) - but I have 3 girls in my flat and 1 other bloke, and we all get on great, so no worries for Feminine Side Development overall :)

I mean i am good terms with them but outside of the lecture halls i don't see them or speak to them really. Where outside uni i get to spent as much time as i like with other girls.
