Not quite, I used the Telegram alerts, Discord was unreliable for me but it still took me a few months of trying.
another vote for telegram alerts. i was actually asleep when the telegram notification pinged and woke me up. i was able to stumble my way into grabbing a 3080fe from it.

Yeah, keep both Telegram and Discord on the go and try to remember to open each app in the morning. Seems to keep them alive and pinging better.
with places like cex offering upto 1500 quid for one retail is screwed. no business in there right mind is going to sell at anything under what they can get for them. excuses or reasons will come but its simple if you can sell it for stupid prices they are going to do it.

It's the PC retailers that are upping prices.
They get a lot of stock in online, I've had more notifications from them than any other company on stock informer. Been dry for a few weeks mind you.

Yeah, I saw a flurry and it is nearly always at like 3-4am so whilst I'd like to get one I am not desperate enough to hire bots to snap up what little stock that does appear.
Where were your alerts set up for, if you don't ming me asking.

It's funny, that alternate shop which shall not be named, I asked on their twitter about preordering and when stock is due but neither info is available. Yeah, that seems to be a closely guarded secret as I can't find any proper leads either.
people are likely going to be kicked out of these lines before they get a gpu because it looks like they cannot make enough to please everybody and they will likely be selling at very close to what they were bought for ( lets not be stupid and think they will sell anything for a loss, they jsut say that to give themselves some good will).

Yes, you get the alert, you follow the link, you get a card. Really rather simple. I've got one this way, as have many others here, many just a few days ago.
People keep trying to dumb it down, like you are, to 'don't be an idiot, there's no way', when there really is. The situation isn't great, but it's not nearly as bad as people are making out - at least not for us in the UK.
