So what are you paying for gas/electric per month?

We don't get gas where we are however my parents just filled the oil tank (1000 litres).

Oil was £597 to fill the tank and our electricity costs around £35 a month.

£26.50 a month for electricity. I don't have gas in my one bedroom apartment. I'm with British Gas.

Currently paying £80 for electricity and £35 for gas in a two bed flat.

I blame my fishtank for the high electricity

This is what gets me though as electricy is cheap!

I calculated our Plasma TV, if used 8hrs every day costs us about £3 a month!

I used this - http://www.ukpower.co.uk/running-costs-elec.asp (using 20p per kWh and the tv using 70W).

I used to work from Powergen and would change provider if I didn't have inside knowledge about what can happen changing providers living in a flat.

I have 2x 250watt Metal Halide lights on 10 hours a day so the cost is almost justified.
