So whats the best dance tune ever?

[Edit] didn't mean 2 post twice!!

without wanting to get dragged into any debates...its interesting to look at peoples 'all time classics'....most of the tune smentioned here are after '99 so 5 years in all.... house/dance started in the early 80's i guess after disco went carp.... just makes me laugh cos the average age on here must be about 22 or 23!!!! no disrespect to anyone just interesting...if i was to put togther my favs over the last 15 years of clubbing i'd be here all day.....

But for the record:

Sunscreem - perfect motion (JBO 12" Mix)
Lil Louis - French Kiss (original Mix)
Eve Gallagher - You can have it all ( C & C mix)
Underworld - Cowgirl/Rez
New Order - True faith (Oakenfold Mix)
Joe Smooth - Promised Land
Frankie Knuckles - tears (original and Full intention mix)
Inner City - Pennies from Heaven

The list goes on...

Thats my 2ps worth!!!

I'm 18 but I've been into dance music for longer than most people of those ages :D

96 mines from.

Now, bearing in mind I was born in 1980 it was a bit difficult to get into it in the early 80's :D But that said, with all honestly dance music has been getting better and better as far as I'm concerned. The current stuff being produced by the UK hardcore scene is blinding compared to 90% of the older tracks - and I have been into it from the early 90's :) The classics are still there, but the newer stuff I'd say a good 50% of is "instant classic" material as it's bang in tune with what makes me tick.

I've tried listening to a great variety of 80's dance, yet it does nothing for me. 80's alternative and industrial, along with a bit of electro - that's another story :)

Nail on the head :D Almost the same as yourself... had to leave Trance behind and go back to my Hardcore roots, like you say, 90% of the stuff these days is top rollox! Just such a shame it all went a bit bent in 97-2001 lol :( Pre 96 and Post 2001 = win!

Couldn't even try to pick a best of the best tune, regardless of which sub-genre of dance music... soooo daaammmnn many! Something new each day takes my fancy and any redeeming quality could make me choose it lol :) But... cant knock the euphoric feeling from current upfront hardcore, thats why I mix it and just get deadly bored with mixing trance, even though I love listening to it.

Anyways.... hehe

Slightly off topic, but does anyone know a UK store that does the older darude stuff?
I have his first "commercially released" album (Darude - Before The Storm), but i was wondering where i could get Rush, cos neither HMV nor Virgin have it, or can import it.

Thanks guys.

I'll open it up if you like...... has to be very early Paul Oakenfold (for early read 88-94) and Danny Rampling still gets my feet moving when ever i hear him out....
