oh, incase anyone wanted to know the champs online open beta starts, early next month I think, get a good few weeks before its released and should be fairly finished by then. I'm not sure how many people will be invited but you can pre-order the game and get a certain open beta code, can probably cancel the pre-order if you don't like the open beta at all.

Unless EA somehow get Ultima Online away from a 2D tile based isometric engine for once.

It's not necessarily a proper MMO but Huxley is one title I am hoping to fill the void left by the virtual death of Planetside. I vastly prefer MMOFPSs to other titles simply because there's more interaction than taking turns to whack at each other's genitals with pixelated swords until they fall over. Admittedly Webzen will probably murder Huxley, but the possibility for a great game is there.

Unfortunately you are correct, the possibility for a great game was indeed there early on but Webzen have well and truly murdered it I am afraid you are going to have to wait a bit longer for that spiritual successor to Planetside
