So who is a stereotypical "Geek" ?

I love computer's, anime, rpg's, all fairly geeky - but most people don't know it. I don't look anything like a geek and most people just think I like playing guitar, cars, women, drinking, extreme sports, etc - I've never been referred to as a geek.

I found it quite funny the first time my girlfriend saw my computer science class when I was at uni, she was amazed that they were all pure stereotypical geeks, I don't think she thought they existed outside movies :D
 
I'm a geek. I work in IT and love playing games. Not MMORPGS!

BUT i also play football a lot, go to the pub, have days out in the sunshine (when we actually get some) and I have a girlfriend and a 7 month old son.

Suppose i'm 50% geek (and proud). :p

Where 'normal' people would crash out in front of the TV, then my geekiness comes into play as I don't do that. I'll play games! :p
 
Well I have to be a geek, lets check the list:

crap with women - tick, even tho I have a women in my life who ive been with for 10years and have two kids with
skinny - tick, but I cant stand skinny emo jeans lol
pasty skin - well I hate the sun and turn into a lobster if I sunbathe so its a tick
into computers - defo a tick. my missus has an irrational hatred of all things computery lol
fashion - I dont wear nerdy t-shirts or wear a parka coat, dont have a thermos or a tub full of egg sandwhiches either lol
 
I like to think I'm a reasonably fashionable guy (I don't wear boots, black jeans and a band t-shirt with a matrix jacket... ). I'm also clubbing most weekends in some decent spots in London... My facebook might make me look better with women than I actually am, but nonetheless I'm not a social recluse. :p

On the other hand, I am into sci-fi and probably know too much about computers, video games and the internet... :o
 
Well im currently sat here without showering today, forum open in one window, WoW in the other, halo 3 on the tv behind me, and im wearing a thundercats tshirt.
However i would say this is just my inner geek that comes out when im on my own or with other geeks, i go out like 3x a week and have no trouble with ladies. im fairly skinny and pale but i dress well when in public.
so not wholly geek but i do seem to automatically wake up at 13:37.lol

But in all honesty I never thought I was that geeky lol... I do use a computer a lot but I hardly read books. I dont play games 24/7 but I have been into games since early 1985 and that one shot my score right up lol

I also have a tendancy to be up late as im always editing recorded tv stuff
 
Nope, I'm as far from geeky as you get, knowledgable I suppose.
As far as geeky goes I have a lot of computers and mac's. Thats it.

I'm for the most part social, tanned (not through choice, I don't lose colour easy), wear nice clothes. Bit of a beer belly. Wife, little kiddy on the way.

Not sporty.

Tall, Skinny, sorta pale, Ginger, Glasses (im a failure already!)

not bad with women, have a life outside of my PC etc.
