So who's going to see Ricky Gervais' Fame?

I seen somewhere that they still feel they can write more material without damaging the reputation of the show. Hopefully that means they'll do more
Well sooner or later Gervais will have to do a third series of something. He'll never be one of my favourite comedians if he only ever does two series of a comedy show.;)

Oh and the three series of the Ricky Gervais podcast don't count, k!:p

One would hope they could! This British '6 episode' thing (times two at the very most) really gets on my nerves. Larry David didn't have to stop after 6 eps of Curb ...

Yeah but in the US a show will generally have more writers.

Not so sure, Jo Whiley asked him in December on her show whether there would be a third series of Extras. He said unlikely, as he and Steve are too busy to write even one episode for a new series. Then he said that the next time he's going to write, he's hoping it would be of a more serious nature--and that he loves dramas like The Sopranos. :(

He also has a potential film career to think about.

*shamelessly bumps own thread*

Getting close now, I'm going on the 7th of March. Has anyone been to any of the showing's already?

i saw him in cardiff (feb 8) prepare to laugh your face off!! me and my mates faces were all hurting afterwards from laughing so much! the support was quite good aswell, we had a guy called Will Smith, although i think that changes from venue to venue

I'm really upset at missing this. His Manchester dates are sold out and it looks as though he won't be going to Milton Keynes or anywhere fairly near there.:(

He is a legend and I want to see him live sometime.

Can't wait to see him in Sheffield next week. Any hints as to what sort of 'fame' themed things he's talking about?

maybe should add spoilers to the thread name but....

charity stuff, press coverage, normal self proclaiming, things being called diseases eg. obesity! very tiny bit about karl, his trip to xfactor dont want to reveal to much.....

most of the stuff is quite close to the line btw if like me your not going to take anything to heart your going to have a damm good laugh, i can imagine some people coming out and saying i cant believe he said that etc....
