So who's going to see Ricky Gervais' Fame?

He's always been close to the knuckle which is great. The irony in his statements is brilliant, he doesn't mock disabled people or anything like that, he simply mocks the stereotype, and hits the nail on the head every time.

Seriously can't wait until March.

More Tickets were released today

....which I sat while me and my work mate tried to get tickets via ticket master for over half an hour... But finally got two tickets for me and mrs.

Can't wait!!! :D

Agreed, his earlier work on the 11 o'clock show was even more close to the bone.

Having listened to a lot of his old xfm shows and podcasts, it's clear that he is very intelligent and whenever he uses crude comedy it's never over the top or uncalled for.

*** SHOW SPOILERS ***

Well I can honestly say I was disappointed. :(

The support act, Will Smith, was a self proclaimed typical English snob type, and quite proud and made much humour out of this. He raised a few good smiles out of us and went on for just over half an hour.

Very shortly after, Ricky Gervais took to the stage with Queen's 'One Vision' blasting out, complete with mac lighting, with him wearing a cape and sunglasses with a huge 'RICKY' sign behind him, Holywood style.

He talked about a range of topics - but seen as though the show was called Fame some of the topics were VERY loosly connected.

There were some really funny moments, but after an hour he left the stage - and this was after the encore! I was out of the venue at 9:30pm! Lots of people were saying afterwards how short changed they felt, and I know how they felt.

There was a very funny Karl Pilkington joke though - Ricky was saying how they were talking about Calumn Best and how he was only famous because of his father... And Karl turned around and said 'what, you mean like Jesus!?'

:D

Very funny. Very short. (The show I mean, although Ricky was quite short too).

Saw him last night in cardiff, always loved all of his comedy, tv, stand-up, radio you name it. This was no exception, if you can get tickets then go! If you appreciate his comedy for what it is and not try and relate it to the title of the gig  you'll have a brilliant time :D

Anyone signed up to Ricky's site? Get the email this morning? More London dates announced but more importantly, for me at least, the Fame DVD is out on 7th November which is a Wednesday yet some online shops are saying 12th November which is the following Monday.
