So who's pre-ordered Crysis

Mp beta has no physics objects though. Im gonna assuming tossing a grenade and watching enemies go flying and tree limbs collapsing is gonna hit the framerate. Also the mp beta is pretty light on foliage compared to some of the vids that have been shown. dx10 as well will obviously hit the framerate.

all talk is suggesting that the game will utilise multiple Cores. i've a Q6600 @3GHz. i'm sure a few physics calculations won't slow the game down on my PC, or most of the gamers on this forum, for that matter. :)

is there a special edition of it?

not that i've heard of.

Theres a few games that take advantage of quad core at the minute, most UE3 games do and going from dual to quad core theres no real noticable differences to framerate. Might be different for crysis but this is their second engine and i doubt its as streamlined as epics as they've been developing for pc far longer.

Will know in 8 days though :)

In response to my post earlier, i have an email :

"First of all, apologies for the delay in your access to the Crysis multiplayer beta - you will receive your beta code by 21/10/07.

However, to make up for this loss of precious beta time, we’re extending the beta for EA Store customers only until 15th November!!"

Happy days.

what do they mean "extending the beta"?

I am going to wait for the single player demo before reserving judgement on whether or not to pre-order the game. If it still runs like a dog, then forget about it. My confidence is pretty low after the beta to be honest.

they do, but free delivery = slower than normal delivery.

funny, the company that is named after what you do with these games sends the games early so that you receive them on delivery day.. And its very common to see new released/pre-orders for £17-£18 there :)

Could'nt get into the beta (I got in just could'nt enjoy the game, blah you know what I mean) will wait for the SP demo but im struggling to complete HL1 so think I'll leave crysis for a while :o besides still not completed Farcry and it's proberly a Sin to play Crysis before Farcry.

got the special edition pre ordered since a friend works for a certain store i can get a nice discount :D got loads of games cheap from her :D

whats it with all these companys lately, AoC beta and Hellgate demo come out while TF2 Portal + HL2EP2 are downloading, I get a crysis key as soon as my flatmate buys halo3 and a 360, and now Crysis SP comes out at same time as Pro Evo2008, its like they are all stopping me from playing the other games, nevermind stopping me from doing my degree
