SOF II - Who used to play?

Just looked through my old screenshots of Sof II just wondered who else used to play this beast of a game. Such amazing times

Sure did!

Single player was a bit pants, online it was wicked! There was a particular map I used to hide behind some crates and blast the gibletts out of un-suspecting victims with the shotgun

Good times! There many servers going still?

Played it for a few months years ago, cracking game. Not sure why I didnt continue really, multiplayer was fantasic.

Loved both the single and multi player. SOF2 was my first online gaming experience. I loved the Kam2 map, the sound when you got a kill and the voice insult jibes.

SOF II was a blast. I've got it sitting on the shelf behind me - I don't think I would reinstall it, purely because I might be disappointed.

Dumped MOHAA MP to play this and never looked back, probably my most played game of all time.

First started to play on a server called the Best of Britsh. It was a slightly modified version with a slightly slower run speed, more falling damage, no shotguns, lower scope magnification on the SIG and a more powerful MP5. This mod was then adpoted by another clan called the Camping Rascals and I played most of my time on there.

Last time I installed it the server browser would'nt find any servers. I managed to find and join servers using Xfire or All Seeing Eye, but most of the servers were populated with bots.

I only played it for the first time recently and it basically felt redundant when I could play counter strike.

Used to have loads of fun playing this years ago...was actually thinking about digging it out and installing it on the P4/Win XP machine i put together to play mame the other week...

Loved that game! The surround sound was excellent on it with bullets whizzing past your head. Good times

Loved it. The GHOUL graphics system was absolutely mental for the time. In fact, the wife (g/f back then) used to shout at me for just crouching over bodies and taking their heads apart piece by piece with the knife.

Yeah, 'Ghoul' was iirc an enhanced Quake 2 engine. Looked superb.

I played it, in unhealthy amounts too. Shame it's almost impossible to find an unmodded server these days

I think someone with an awesome upload should host an unmodded/OSP server and we should all meet up at a certain time, would be a laugh
