I dont think we will get above 2kwhs today.......the rain is of biblical proportions at the moment and the arc is getting prepped

its a stunning spring morning today here in east anglia. already generated 5.5kwh and exported 4kwh and its only 9:20am. (and that is with the washing machine on as well)

The forecast here was also pretty poor, battery at 100%, it actually reached 100% on the off peak charge, 10kWh generated and 5.8 exported . Current PV power 5.6kW

Yeh its odd, bbc saying we in the middle of a biblical amount of rainfall, yet its sunny at the moment and pulling 2.9kw from the panels

Been a nice day on and off tbh, some sun, some rain, some clouds.

Generation so far 17.8 kWh, Import Today 7.2 kWh, Export today 11.2 kWh, so I'm definitely below £0 cost which is nice as all my import units were at the Flux Rate, and basically all my export units are at the slightly higher day export rate.

Export MPAN is now progressing with octopus. Initial submission about 25/03 so a month for the first stage which I believe the the DNO/validation part.


I’ve “a couple of days” for enrolment, and then 2-4 days for them to set me up on their systems. Fingers crossed I will be earning by early May, they have had 500kwh free so far this year!

My intention is to sit on Flux initially (if they are onboarding folk) given my large export until my BEV arrives in June when I will reassess. Long term it’s likely to be Go and 4p SEG if I can get self consumption high enough; I just can’t see any other tariff working out better.


System for today is showing 21kwh with 9kwh hidden in the DC battery. Guttered I bought 13kwh over the weekend… but needs must.

That was a surprising day, 36.98kWh generated, and 33 exported, 6 of that during the peak time.

11.5 for me in the end, but at least I sneaked past the 400kWh for the month.
Just 34.5kWh short for the months target with 7 days to go.

Its certainly been a good month. I'll be close to 700 I think which will be my 3rd best month since install last July.

Just 14kWh here today, it was looking good until 11:35am when the big black Welsh clouds got to me and insisted on staying until 3:10pm after that it was all down hill.
