Solar panel production figures

Sky has nicely cleared up for the evening now, just in time to start exporting at peak rate - nice to finally have it that way round!

Tomorrow on the other hand looks abysmal, so best make hay while the sun shines so to speak! Already cost neutral for the day today so anything exported over the next few hours will be going in the bank for tomorrow!

i hope it doesn't rain tomorrow. lad has a beavers /cubs parade so will be spending half the day walking around being the supportive parent. joy I can't wait..... at least if it's sunny 1) I won't get wet and 2) I won't be using energy so can make a few quid profit.

15 more minutes and I will have to turn off the tumble drier....... will finish it off on timer at 2am.

Got mine too well trained, I said we should put the dishwasher on this morning, she replied "But the washing machine is on and we can can get the lunch things in", I'll let her have the second point, but with our system it doesn't really matter, so long as its not used unnecessarily. Washings been on the clothes line all day ;)

PS. 16:45 and we have 3kW of solar, I'm sure the disappearing tree is helping :D

Still 4800w here but rapidly dropping off with the sun angle, was 5800w only half an hour ago.

Same, she knows to minimise doing multiple things at once early or late and not to do anything between 4 and 7 at least.

A rubbish morning but ended up with sunny spells in the afternoon so we generated 15.7kWh and exported 3.3kWh. The 12.25kWh battery is currently at 92% which should come in handy as tomorrow is looking pants.

17.1kwh generated today and 5kwh exported. really happy with that. 2 loads of washing, a dishwasher run and 2 hrs in tumble drier all on the sun. will finish the tumble drier at 2am

chuffed with that .
it seems my battery can't quite last at the moment till 2am. this morning it ran out around 1am so had an HR paying the standard energy price... but it was less than 1kwh so not so bad.

Does anybody know why, when my battery did not drop below 45% over night, I still consumed some power from the grid. Only 0.1kwh, in small blips if 100w or so in the early hours of the morning, but I would have thought it should all be covered by the battery. It is a solax hybrid inverter. My guess is the amount is so small it doesn't have time to kick in before it grabs it from the grid, but I admit that is just a random guess.

Demand may well be too low for the battery to chime in.

I know that if house is using 500W and the Solar is 600W then it will often export 100W instead of charging the battery, I think on my end it wants a 200W figure before it bothers.

I think it's just inefficiencies to how the system works.

every now and then with my solis inverter the.sun may be shining and my battery charging.... but instill take the odd dribble now and then from the grid , just like when sometimes I am running from battery but then I export a few wh as well.

I think it's normal and do not worry about it so long as it's not more than say over 0.5kwh over the entire day (mine is way less than that, I can check on my octopus app my exact usage the following day)
