Solar panel production figures

yeh i was able to get the dusty pollen off mine, but the bird poop i still there. No way i can reach mine with a brush, it was hard enough to get the right angle with a hose. To reach and get the angle with a brush, i would need to be out on the road.

We now have rain forecast for next monday, so lets see what happens if it arrives and washes the poop off lol

Sounds like we need hail for our panels for proper cleaning ;)

as longs as its not more than 50mph lol......although i'm not sure what speed the panels can withstand from hail stones, just a guess lol

I think its the combo of size and speed. Typically the bigger hail (ie when they clump) are the nasty ones as they contain a lot more enegy.

We had one of them freak hail storms here about 6 years ago, lots of us ended up with dents in our cars!
Mine was quite minor (didnt bother claiming) but my neighbours 1 series looked like a golf ball on bonnet and roof!

Reading this has prompted me to clean mine. Benefit of having them on a single storey…5 minutes with a ladder and a window cleaning pole and they are sparkling again.

My be coincidence but the sun has just broke and it’s the first time since being installed I have seen them peak over 6kw.

Highly recommend if you’re a net exporter and can set your battery to dump its charge during peak. 7.8kwh system with Tesla powerwall
i thought about it but have decided with my modest usable 6kwh of storage it isnt worth it. i am happy just to export my excess and for my battery to get me from one cheap period to the next... which it can do fairly reliably for 9 months of the year....... until i start home charging my car. no idea what i will do then..

On another note.....we still dont have any sun, even though the BBC, ITV and the Met office are stating full sun in Wales. Must be New South Wales and Not UK Wales

I did warn you the weather was going turn bad once my colleague arrived in Wales on holiday.

I dump about 18 kWh during peak from solar and battery :D

My house is single storey too so that would massively help. I have not purchased the pole/brush extensions though as over here it is pretty rainy so rarely need to clean them. Its the first time since install that the drought type conditions mean the dirt/dust on them is enough to irritate me that I should clean them. Not complaining as its rare we get unbroken skies for a week, rather have this problem that cursing the clouds to go away!

Think you live in another Wales....Sun is just relentless here, only 1 day since the 8TH of May has had cloud for a couple of hours on one morning.
Everything is just dying off, fields are all scorched.

Oh dear..

In non Welsh news, Roy Castle appeared to mention its been another record breaker day 33.7kWh till now - pleased with that.

Nope we had no sun here in the mountains until just after 12pm……

Yes, West Mid Wales near the coast, praying for rain!.

Cloudy almost all day again here in the east. It brightened up a bit in the afternoon so 14.9kWh generated and 6.4kWh exported.

Might have to get on the phone to Octopus tomorrow to give them a prod about the export as we've been on Flux import for 5 days now.
