Solar panel production figures

yesterday was cloudy most of the day for us and today not looking much different, i covered my gas and electricity expenses inc standing charge but that is about it (which i cant grumble with tbh but i have been spoilt in may!) . heatwave apparently coming for the weekend.... hopefully just in time for my covid to be getting better (tested positive this morning). not bothered about having covid... but dont fancy it in 26 degree+ heat with no aircon..... (i think i will suggest aircon to the boss once we go over to intelligent octopus for next summer - if i cant sell the excess power for much i may as well use the energy to sit in comfort)

yeah am on flux for now but once winter comes i will go to intelligent octopus to get my cheap 6 hrs of EV/home battery charging etc

i am going to be honest with octopus and ask them how they would feel me switching tariffs every 6 months, if they are ok with it i will go flux from April - september and IO from october-march each year but i am expecting them to tell me to do one and not try to have my cake and eat it.

if so at that point i think IO would work out better for me over the whole year - esp if we get aircon - .... call me pessimitic but i am only expecting wild temp swings to get worse as as we go forward so aircon may become more of a necessity

so how you going to sell excess in the winter months from oct/march??

Be very interested in this response from Octopus, since as I see it right now the majority on flux will want to be on something else in winter.

i could be wrong (hope i am) but when i was on octopus Go Faster you were only allowed to use the SEG rate.

I assumed (maybe incorrectly) that IO would be the same. if this is not the case and i can get 15p export even on IO, then it really would be a no brainer for me. i suspect it will be the same limitation as Go / Go Faster however given they are related products

"As a beta product, only customers with Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) can use Intelligent Octopus. You'll still receive 4.1p/kWh for your export and will be able to benefit from our smart charging schedules."

Think I should just about make double digits. Currently 6.5kwh and its around my peak generation time now.
Battery is up to 95% however so thats enough to get me as far as the next eat all you can buffet of 7.5 pence units
