Solar panel production figures

this will be my 1st full year with accurate measurements.

you old timers, is there much difference on average.over all with generation in the 1st 6 months of the year compared to the 2nd 6 months. all being well tomorrow or sat I will match my energy exported compared to energy imported for the year.

just wondering if I could have hoped to finish the year net neutral (I won't as I will likely be charging my new EV come winter)

New record here also for yesterday, 38.8kWh, touch of cloud this morning put a dip in my graph for today but I dumped the batteries this morning so no clipping so far. Might break 40kWh today.

Annoyingly I'm getting to low 20kWh by 3 pm and then it falls off a cliff because there's a massive tree at the side of our house that blocks out the sun (as well as cover my car in sap). We live at the end of the street (he's my worst neighbour). Also my panels look filthy. We haven't had any rain now for over 4 weeks which seems crackers.

would have been a cracker today but system was shut down for an HR when my zappi was installed.

28.3kwh generated
22kwh exported

5kwh imported.
tomorrow I will break even on my import and export for the year.

It hasn't rained here since 19th May so mine are filthy now. We should hopefully get some on Sunday.

It was another great day though with 32.4kWh generated and 17.8kWh exported.

not a brilliant generation day today but even so it was enough to get to my break even point on my electricity generation. Ie my import = my export for the year.

my initial goal this year was to finish the year like that however I have an EV now so it won't happen... I decided trying to get there before the end of June was an acceptable compromise and I have made it with almost 2 weeks to spare (which would have gotten me a little headstart for the 2nd half of the year had I been going for my initial goal.). small beans compared to some on this forum but I am happy with that for a system Inc battery which cost 8.5k. and despite friends and family warning me before hand I'll never get my money back solar is no good in England.

also it's 2000kwh so far for the year.

I might be in a position to go solar some time next year.

I have an end terrace with an east /west facing pitched roof so it's not going to be a huge install but I'm thinking it will be some panels on one side of the roof and some on the other.
I want a battery bank too.

My usage is pretty low... As I live alone But I'm currently on a key token electric meter which I suppose adds more complication.

My electricity costs are currently about £15 per week on a terrible tarrif, about 30p per kwh? Inc standing charge. as oven and heating is gas.. But selling back to the grid is very enticing if I can afford the outlay.

Any general advice?

see if solartogether are doing a group install in your area. we saved a few grand doing it that way....
east west roof is good. maybe better than south because you get a longer period of generation over both roof sides.

you may be better saving your money and putting into a battery rather than north facing solar TBH
oh I am getting my south roof decked out albeit not as big I was hoping for but after few hours of searching all I can find is seasonal statistics and predictions, absolutely no real world day to day info, panels are cheap enough and if they on the roof already.

I was just after live info, I have been looking at the PV ladder thing.
