Im going to look at putting a fan up there blowing around the heat sink and see if it helps. Cant hurt for the cost of a usb fan
Not sure you would see enough of a difference to tell.
IMO the only way to do it is to wait for a perfect couple of days.
Day 1 do the first half the day with a largeish fan then remove.
Day two reverse that trend, compare the curves for differences to a non fan equally normal day.
High level cloud etc means the exact numbers of generation are going to be hard to compare, you want to see if you can move the curve for a day with the fan compared to your baseline.
You would need a few repeatable observations I think in order to say it deffo does make a diff.
One thing though, it cannot hurt, keeping the inverter cooler can only help.
My generation curves on clear days are pretty perfect and predictable.
In Aus inverters externally have to be covered with a sun shade, although if that is to stop them overheating or for another reason I dont know. Just noticed all external need one fitted.
