Solar panel production figures

Yesterday was a massive 2.2
Similar here, 2.7.

Today is already up to 5, and it’s still glorious here. Hoping to have the battery full and start piling the extra into the car shortly (on top of already running the dishwasher and washing machine).

Publishing my solar production figures are back on hold....

When I finished messing with HA last night all was working well. I had created several entities that I wanted to display and planned sometime later today to polish how to present these. This is what it looked like before I shut down HA and the hosting VM.

This morning, happy with how it went last night I decided to start up the VM only to find none of the entities were reporting.

To cut a very long story short, the firmware on my Solax dongle needs updating, something to do with the modus, accessing the Inverter, and the reporting getting stuck apparently.

If only I hadn't shut down HA and the VM :D

So close yet so far......

That is good, we topped out at 11.0.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but 'yield' on the Fox app is everything that's come through the inverter (solar and battery). The only way to work out the actual PV generated is through a calculation and I've found that's totally inaccurate too.

Today for example the app says my 'yield' is 9.2 but we've actually generated 7.3.

Interesting. I have to admit I’ve been pretty much fit and forget beyond setting up the times to charge from grid.

Any information you can either divulge or link to for calculation of accurate figures?

I’m still not disappointed though, it’s saved me a fortune based on a monthly year-on-year comparison.

Solar generated = (battery charge - battery discharge - consumption yield + Load yield + Feed in yield)

The Load yield is found on the Site Overview Monthly Yield graph, the rest are on the Device Monthly Yield graphs.

Its a stupid way to do it and I have no idea why Fox insist on not having the most important parameter on the app or portal. The inverter shows daily PV generated on its front screen, so the data is there, they just won't add it.

Its exactly the same with Solax.
Very dumb

7.5 today

52 for the month and that website that gives you seasonal averages for december it told me 93 so im closing in but the constant cloud cover isn't helping lol

An almost perfect Decembers day, with 10kWh generated, only 2kWh of that was generated by the garage panels though.

Currently at 73 kWh for the month, only 5 days to go, then the days start getting longer again :D
