Solar panel production figures

Been ok here today, sun all morning, still blowing a gale for most of the day.

2.5kw from 4 panels today, hopefully the other panels will go back up tomorrow as a lot less wind for re-fixing.

Over 30000 houses still without power in Mid and South Wales, Main A44 still blocked with fallen trees.

did you have solar panels come down in the storms??

The forecast for the next 7 days is dreadful too. For mine:

Today: 1.72
Tomorrow: 1.57
Day 3: 1.17
Day 4: 1.23
Day 5: 5.88
Day 6: 1.10
Day 7: 1.56

What an awful year it has been for solar. My SE array did 4771kWh in its first year and in 2024 just 4264kWh so far.

im 600kwhs up on last year, but i had more panels this year, so doesnt really compare for me

10 days in and my system (2.43kwp) has created a total of 13kWh, today is currently 0.2kWh. This is the problem with solar in the UK.

Considering DIY adding a couple more panels in when I work out how to, but that might get me from the 13 to say 20 now...! But should reap benefits in the summer...

I've got 15.5kWp, yet only generated 0.64kWh today. December is traditionally my worst month. Today is probably my worst day in about a year

Solar is bad during the winter months, even with the amount I have, but in the summer months we can build up a nice amount of export payments. Last two years my exports have covered not only all my electric, but gas and standing charges with some left over, and I only installed another 6.76 kWp a couple of months ago, so that will have a large effect in the summer months.

Makes mine look half OK! Mine is pretty much south facing, but not sure we've had any sun really today in the Cotswolds (I've been in the office all day).

Mine was installed before me and god knows why they put such a small system in. Just 6 Solis panels on a roof that could easily take 10 (possibly 12) on an all electric hous with storage heaters. It would be great to be able to build up a war chest during the summer, but I'm still paying in the summer months (this is my first year in the house) because the system is small. OK, this summer has been terrible so that might improve but I'm hoping that more panels will improve the yields!
