Solar panel production figures

I think its more charge level than temps if they work like mine
Well some combo of both actually

When they were really cold they would ramp up slowly without any change in battery temp
When they are warm they will ramp up really quickly so that 5 min charts look like they start at max charge rate (5.5kw)

Mmm they were about 40% though which isn’t normally limiting from what I’ve seen. I know they won’t accept a charge at all if below zero degrees, and that there are stepped charge limits based on temperature according to the installer. The only time I’ve had issues with charge/discharge rates are when it’s been very cold.

They have stepped up to 75A now so well on the way though either way!

Can you check batt temp on your "portal" I can on mine and they typically only go up 1 degree or so when charging at high rates.
Mine are 15 right now, the hottest they have ever got is 22, worst was basically zero although might have sneaked under zero a few times.

Luckily mine are external to an external wall to my house. So if anything a slight warm from that. I have insulated the front heavily and the sides partially.
I have to be careful as mine are stacked on one side with the matebox/ bms and inverter. (mate box allows the whole house UPS in effect, and means no external switches/isolators, its all pulled into that.)

I feel like Solcast predicting 25kWh today was a little over-optimistic but so far, it does seem like we may get better than the 10 or so I've seen lately if this kind of production keeps up.

It's bluish skies with some clouds out at the moment.

Clocked 11kwh already. Battery fully charged - good old Givenergy jump from 50% to 100% in 10 minutes...Typical that I'm in the office today, so only had a tumble dry to run.

Wasnt great all day till about 2pm then the sun came out and has been basically uot since, batteries from 67% to 86% in that time
Need another 30 mins give or take and they will be nicely topped up

Interesting that even though Feb wasnt that high in total my diverter grabbed about 26kwh
I think I added about 6 in one of the savings sessions, but even so grabbing 20 that would have been exported is nice.

Can completely see how I may well be able to go gas off from April to Sept. With just some elec (bless Go ;) ) top up if we have a run of weak days

3pm and the output is dropping off as the shading spreads… down to 3.6kW when it should be making lots with the south west facing.

I believe my peak should be around 2-3pm were it not for the shading issues, as you can see below I peak around 1pm at the moment when string one starts to drop…. but even so it’s already clocked 23.5kwh today. Going to be great in a couple of months!

You have the same issue as many of us
We need a mass burning down of neighbours houses ;)

Could we maybe petition for it to be a crime to block a neighbours panels? :D
