Don't forget you'll need to get G99 permission from the DNO if adding an AC coupled battery.

Installer should deal with it.

DC connected, is connected to your existing inverter (it needs to be a hybrid inverter to connect batteries), so doesn't make any difference to amount of power it can supply.

AC connected requires another inverter, so that's two inverters in total, and you have to add the two together to get your theoretical maximum export.
