Should I be worried?

I "sold" my laptop on eBay, however the person that bought it at full asking without making an offer sent message asking to kindly give paypal address and correspond via email.

This seems dodgy to me and he has 4 positive feedback stetchest over since 2002, last used in 2016.

I was actually going to post about using the bay and if it's reslly worth it due to them always siding with the buyer even if seller isn't at fault

Am I right to think this is a dodgy buyer?

Possibly. I would route all correspondence via Ebay for your peace of mind. The buyer is not paying any fees, you are.

Can I just not reply or is eBay going to take 10%off me

You can cancel the transaction and the final value fee won't be taken.

When asked why you are cancelling you will have to lie. If it's a genuine buyer they will naturally leave negative feedback.

If I deal with it through eBay, am I covered if he's dodgy and trys to claim it doesn't work or something? Feel I shouldn't have listed it now feel like eBay is full of scams

Go with your instinct :)

If he pays you through eBay, and you send to the address that eBay tells you too, that covers it unless he says it’s faulty.

If he tries to send the payment to your email address, or asks you to send it to a different address, cancel it.

Provide tracking also.

He just went this reply to my "sorry I'd rsthra deal with it through eBay"

I will, i just need your PayPal email address just to confirm your PayPal account and your full name, also i can get back to you on it.

Why would he need to confirm it? Why does he need my full name ? Why does he need my email?
