Sold the F-Type V8S - Replaced with something subtle ;)

Incredible people think a Jag has more class than a Ferrari. Look closely on a Jag and you will find body panels stamped with a Ford badge.

I think the point is that the F430 isn't particularly stunning. I personally think that it has too much bodywork compared to the 458.

I would still chop off my left ball to have one though, make no mistake about that.

You're less likely to find Ford parts on a Jag these days, but so what if they do? You'll find VW parts on Lambo and Porsches, and probably Fiat parts if you look hard enough under Ferrari.

While I love the F-Type, most Ferraris are at a class much higher, they're also a little bit more common where I am, working for Jag afterall :p. I think the F430 does look a little dated and a bit plasticy on the outside, but I'm sure you forget all that once you hear the engine behind you!

Would rather a 458 over the McLaren too, but as you said that's way out of the price range and you already prefer the 12C, coming from somebody who worked on the 12C for 2 years, I'd have the Ferrari! :p

That's what people like Iceman are like. Whatever they have is the best ever, until they change it for something else, then what they had is suddenly not the best, instead what they have right now is the best.

It's why they do keep swapping or changing, an endless search for perfection that will never come to a close. Cue endless misery.

Non motors person enters, makes silly comment, doesn't return.

Yellow sportscars = epic
Yellow daily drivers = fail

Not always...

Ford haven't owned Jaguar since 2008, so I would be amazed if any body panels since have had Ford markings. I am sure they helped supply parts, but still, the point is largely irrelevant when you realise none of these companies, with the exception of very few, are now wholly independent.

Pretty darn sure you won't since Ford sold their stake in JLR ages ago. Even if it did though, it hardly detracts from the class of the Jag.

Take front wheel arch liner off a Jaguar XF and you will see ford badge stamped into the metal.

The XF was designed in the Ford era, so shockingly there are going to be Ford parts in there. Would imagine there's not much point paying expensive retooling costs just to change a badge on a part the customer doesn't see.

I like the F430, but the front end just looks a bit... blunt, almost to the point Ferrari got bored designing it and slapped a block on the front.

tbh the phrase "you only live once" is appropriate here, enjoy life, enjoy the fantastic cars.

As much as I LOVE the F Type, I'd pick a Ferrari anytime.
