Some from a recent Wedding

The last one looks wrong somehow to me mate. Is it two different photos combined or something? The tree on the left has a firework clipping straight over it which just doesn't look natural at all to me :S

Rest of the shots are pretty damn nice though. 25 especially is rather good!

Nope, it's one shot. The fireworks display was run from his driveway (no I am not exaggerating) and so the firework clipping infront of the tree is because that's the way it fired :)

I dialed down the exposure on the initial shot then used the brush to bring up the exposure on the house, that is probably what is throwing you off :)

Ah makes sense then. Nice capture :P

Thanks mate. When shooting multiple people with a wide aperture the key is distance.

A friend recently did group shots at 1.2 as he had the room to go far enough back to get them all in standing side by side.

Cheers, did you PP exclusively in LR?

Also it's nice that some people leave the exif data in, thanks for that. I wish more people did it for the aid of learning :)

Great set! Would you say you use the 24-70mm mainly? How much did you charge, if you don't mind me asking?

Na, mainly primes really to be honest...although I wouldn't do one without one!

Price is between myself and the client.

Yeah that 135mm is a beauty.

Had a look at your website, looks like you offer very good value for money.

I've only assisted on a couple of weddings so far but, FWIW lens-wise, I couldn't live without the 24-70 and 50 1.4. They live on the two bodies for 90% of the time, only swapping when I need something longer or wider for a specific shot.

Nice pics Jake, can;t wait to see the other 700!

Disappointed you haven't posted a drunken shot of me yet? :(

I love the firework one.

The pics are even better when you know everybody in them ;)

Digging the night time/first dance ones Mr Ellwood! Did you get one of the fireworks with them outside looking at them? That would be epic if you did!

No, but I wanted to :(

Thanks for the other kind words! :)

It didn't happen as they were enjoying the show with their children so I thought I'd leave them to it.

I know, i was just about still sober then!

But still a very hard shot to pull off snapping them watching the fireworks. And you got so many amazing shots that day anyway.

And where's a pic of me? :)
