2 is nice but i can see the noise and that puts me off... sorry

Looking at the image again at home I can see what you mean. I reprocessed the shot, used Noiseware and smart sharpen instead of USM and got the following result which is sharper, has much less noise and is a smaller file size.

So I'd just like to say thanks for feedback like this, it makes me go back to see how I can improve what I've done and is exaclty what I'm looking for

Nice series and good post-processing on the image you've just posted. A sunny day really transforms this area of London.
