Some nice guys with Steam who could help

I do this a fair bit for friends in EU.
a lot of the games on steam are either banned or censored versions if they buy direct.
Of course with the ridiculous exchange rate steam use too :(

I also heard Singularity is banned here in UK too so i have to find an america friend but I still need the other games.

Also after googling you I notice you do post on a lot of German forums.

how on earth did they censor GTA ... I mean you can slash hookers in the face, let them run away a bit then jump in your car and run them over. Love doing that :p

Germany has rather strict laws in regards to video game violence. Worst offender was Wolfenstein 3D, due to Nazi references. I can’t remember the name of the list, but its quite long.

So, publishers get around this by releasing cut versions of their games to the German Market.

Its quite common and Germany is very strict on upholding this law. This guy obviously wants to play the uncut versions or games that are banned. And, Steam is quite expensive in some countries.

His English is actually better then most on these forums, and someone has already vouched for him…. I don’t think it’s a scam, but I can understand not trusting via paypal..

And, kudos to him actually buying his PC games, and not grabbing a torrent to bypass the german laws on some video games...

Its okay and I am not angry but I just dont like it if people telling bad things about other people who dont really know.

German censorship laws are harsh... I can fully understand why he wants to grab his games from the UK, he wants to do the same as you do in games such as GTA, slash a hooker in the face and drive off... lol

Its just a video game, but German law see if differently.. Shame.
 
Thanks. Yeah well we censored Mass Effect 2 because theres a sex scene in it. I just added now a mate who will gift me the games and i will ask him if he can give me a feedback after the deal. I dont want something bad...I just want the games not censored.

hehe yeah cuz I want to buy this games and not downloading them.

Its just so that I want to support the puplishers. A game has a development time of 1-5 years. I really appreciate it and some good games are every Pound worth. I dont download cuz I want to show the puplishers that the work was good and maybe, if more people think like me they say "Ahh so many liked this game lets develope an addond or another game"

Sorry for my bad english...I know its broken but just wanted to say what I think hehe.

I have Gimpymoo ( member here since 2005 with over 5k posts), Kiwi21 ( member since 2008 with 3k posts) and Anti Bolaeisk on my friendslist but the problem is that Gimpymoo is for 1337years afk, Kiwi21 cant gift them cuz he has probz with his card and Anti Bolaeisk has the expesive euro prices.
