SOME RYZEN 7 1700 OVERCLOCKING!

i take it mobo's will be rising in price then if there is a shortage? i have already started saving to get the carbon n 1700 with the nighthawk ram is reason i am asking but if prices are gonna do the same as the memory and ssd's then i'll spend the money on something else.
 
Looking at the reviews so far of which there are many, there is almost certainly something dodgy about some of the game benches, some of the reviewers seem to have issue with cpu temps but that was likely a fault with their setup and not Ryzen itself.
 
120mm AIO, 1.55v is max safe voltage anything higher invalidates warranty.

Temps were fine, its a very low power CPU! :)

Of course, if you're using a cooling solution less capable than our Corsair H100i v2 at its maximum fan/pump settings, overheating could become a problem. Thanks Gibbo for doing this for us, this is exactly the kind of bench I wanted to see done it looks like getting a 1700 is the best option. I'm waiting to see how Ryzen pans out maybe I'll be better off waiting for Zen+ with a better IMC?

Others are reporting issues of getting the memory over 2666MHz. Is this motherboard specific?

I'm not an expert but from what I've read it does appear to be down to the motherboard slightly, but mostly I think the IMC is weak? Hoping it just needs some newer BIOS' to come out to give more functionality. Information atm is rather sketchy at best... Not many motherboards support 3200mhz memory, only the top ends appear too, hopefully Gigabyte can release a board under £200 that will do it.
