Some stupid Bitfenix Recon questions

I just received my Recon fan controller and i have a few questions before i go ahead an install it.

Firstly, what are best locations to attach the temp sensors for CPU, gfx card etc?

Second, the controller has to USB connections - what are they for?

Finally, should I be using the Recon to control my Gelid Tranquillo as well or should i just leave that to the motherboard?

I'll answer the second question. Use the middle USB (not the one on the end)

I attached my cpu cooler to my controller it works perfectly if you attach the sensor to the heatpipe,

My probes are on

GFX
CPU
HDD
Intake air temp
Output air temp
