Someone tried to hold a funeral in WoW...

On a somewhat related note: :D

I am sorry but that screen shot was funny.

I have also seen worse stuff happen in wow. I remember on our server their was this kid from Northern Ireland who fell in love with this Goth Swedish girl and tried to arrange to meet up with her etc. I guess orc females have a strange sex appeal but i never saw it.....

There was also this kid who was like the "Server Ganker" and was famous on the server for it. Turns out the reason he liked Ganking lowbies was because he was abused as a kid.

I have played a lot of online games but i have never seen so many crazy people in one game :P

[SNIP] offff i dread to think of the responses after that :p and yea i saw this funeral crashing yonks ago, thought it was in pretty poor taste tbh, but then again it wow and its full of ****s :p but then after watching it a few times i kinda loled :p was pretty funny just bad circumstances :(

on a pvp server? in the middle of no where?

real life you take your dead to a church. wow? er a mountain full of cave yeti.... and then they complain from ganks? eesh.

well it was a pretty spot they went to..... but still, loads of one side..... just looks like a chance for raiding really :p

I have the full-screen video of the Serenity Now attack. It's just bloody hilarious, made even better by the fact that you can read the on-screen text. :D

Holding a rememberance service in a contested area was the only stupid thing here.Having the dead guys toon stood there was asking for trouble.Would I have had any part of it? Absolutely not.But why not simply hold a rememberance service like This one..respectful and un-interruptible.

If I remember correctly, the funeral arrangers also asked no-one to bring any weapons along so that the alliance and horde members could both take part in the funeral. On a PvP server thats like sticking a 'Free Food' sign up at a restaurant.

Was nice to see that they went to some effort for a friend, but I still think its funny that they didn't think this would happen.

Yes its old but in no way funny!

A bunch of people lost an online friend and wanted to honour that person. No different that people we have lost on this very site. I remember that we lost a member on here due to cancer and he was admired by lots of people who had never met him, there was a collection and a massive thread of condolences.

You also have the distressing story of one of our members daughter who is suffering a serious illness.

Just because WoW is a game it doesn't make the friendships any less than those that develop on this forum or in real life.

If people went into threads here about sick little girls etc there would be uproar and bannings.

It just shows the type of nobbers that inhabit the online world because they are too pathetic in real life!

What better way to honour someone than with a huge ruck. Im sure he would have liked it.

Nice gesture by the guys who organised the funeral, but poorly thought out, there are plenty of places with beautiful scenery in safe zones for both factions, e.g. Darnassus for Alliance, Mulgore for the horde. Should have expected something like that to happen tbh...

I would have loved to participate in that ganking, it's utterly ridiculous to do that on a PvP server in a PvP zone.

Would have been funny to see all the internet hate flying around if that was my server. (don't play anymore though)
