Someone tried to hold a funeral in WoW...

Isn't this from about two years ago or something? I swear I've heard that 'did he drop any good loot, hur hur' comment about a million times.

On a somewhat related note: :D

Yes its old but in no way funny!

A bunch of people lost an online friend and wanted to honour that person. No different that people we have lost on this very site. I remember that we lost a member on here due to cancer and he was admired by lots of people who had never met him, there was a collection and a massive thread of condolences.

You also have the distressing story of one of our members daughter who is suffering a serious illness.

Just because WoW is a game it doesn't make the friendships any less than those that develop on this forum or in real life.

If people went into threads here about sick little girls etc there would be uproar and bannings.

It just shows the type of nobbers that inhabit the online world because they are too pathetic in real life!

It's not the raid itself which is funny it's the way the youtube vid was presented. Also it's on an RP server if I remember correctly if you are playing a chaotic undead would a funeral be respected. Whilst I can understand the feelings involved I don't think you could really expect the whole server to understand what was going on and why!

Just watched it again and lol'd.

(will i go to hell :( )

I agree that holding it there was completely stupid etc, I think everyone has lost a family member or friend and should know the feelings involved!

My point is more to do with my interest in people like this, you know the sort, the ones that keep TK'ing you in COD4 for instance, camping the spawn points and just killing you over and over again. Why? because its 'funny'. I am sure all those laughing here have been peeved off when this happens to them. I am sure that most of the people here finding it funny would have felt very differently had it been them.

I think it's more because there are no consequences. These people would be flinging rotten fruit at funerals in real life if they didn't know they'd get a bloody good beating as a result. Want to find out what someone's really, really like? Look at how they act in an environment where there are no negative consequences to their actions.

For those that dont play wow, or those that arent too bright. They chose to do this 'funeral' in a pvp zone which means anyone could attack them. There are plenty of non-pvp zones that they could have held it in where there could be no fighting but they ignored the advice and cried afterwards when they got what was coming to them.

I have quite a rare edition of the video with a proper pvp vid after it :)

"She loved fishing... and PvP"

As bad taste as it is - I can't help but think they got what they deserved. We all know how bad WoW players can be - holding a funeral in a contested zone is just begging for someone to interrupt it.

Hold it in the middle of your capital city next time.

PvP server.... enough said.

There was never a cat in hells chance that an advertised funeral service on that server would be left alone and not attacked.

ok i dont play WoW but one thing i dont get is how come the people that were there "mourning" all died so easily and quickly?

Did find it amusing tho :o

it is amusing as a wow video goes.

I remember as alliance we used to all line up like that between Tarren Mill and southshore.

the good ol days

good times indeed but i must resist took be ages to be free of wow and get it out my system :(
