Well, with the impending British GP this weekend, thought I’d get a few of you in the mood and post up a 1/20 model I constructed this year. It’s a Fujimi 1/20 base kit, amalgamated with Model Factory Hiro San Marino transkit to make a fairly nice rendition of the 1982 San Marino GP raced by no 28 D Pironi.

I know a few of you are scale model builders, and I’ve seen a few post their works before, so here you go… Enjoy.

And some more completed pictures if you’ve not seen enough on my website….

Thanks for looking.

Thanks everyone, comments well appreciated…… Model took me about two months of on off building during the evenings and weekends, when I had some spare time.

My creative side, yeah amaze myself at times… :-) And if you look, in one of the pictures you’ll see the bum of my dog, so this’ll hopefully prove it’s a scale model and not a real F1 car… lol

www.hiroboy.com is a good place to get scale model cars and paint etc….. www.modelsforsale.com is a good place for just about any scale model you can buy, and if you don’t mind importing, as it’s cheaper prices, then www.hlj.com is a good place to buy as well.

I'd love to get into this. I was watching some build videos from japan on youtube and was hooked.

How much does the kit (airbrush etc) outlay set you back?

Even looking at the pictures filled me with an impotent rage at my inability control my temper when putting very small things together in an organised fashion.

Pics look great :)
